2007

A New Year and we’ve been keeping ourselves busy. To mention a few...

- Celebrating Emma’s 30th birthday, both with their friends at the local pub as well as going to a luxury hotel and being totally spoiled for about £20 each, unbelievable.
- Saying goodbye to our friend and housemate Neil who’s now moved to Los Angeles. Always good to know people around the world.
- Almost bumping into Badly Drown Boy and Andy Rourke from the Smiths at Urbis just before they stepped on stage and preformed a few songs together – really good. This was part of a bigger event later on in the year to support a local cancer charity. Andy’s job definitely has its benefits.
- Meeting our good friend Will from our Master’s course down in his bar in Castlefield. He’s just bought us tickets to go and see John Martin – a one legged alcoholic but a really good musician. There you go!!
- Seeing Katie off as she’s off to Paris, again good to know people in different parts of the world.
- Finding out that the house we’re renting is going on sale and that we have to move again. Hmmm…what to do!!
- Waiting for me to become an aunt – my sister Kristin is due any day now and I am really excited and hope that all will go well. I will keep everyone informed.

Hope everyone is enjoying 2007 so far and I wish all my friends and family much happiness for the coming year.
